Latest News: Torrance Multi-Vehicle Crash Shuts Down Artesia Boulevard Early Friday

Torrance, CA – A serious multi-vehicle collision early Friday morning caused major street closures along with a Sig Alert in Torrance, authorities said. The California Highway Patrol said Artesia Boulevard was blocked in both directions between South Western and Van Ness Avenue after the collision. Motorists were advised to use alternative routes while emergency crews and investigators worked at the scene. The Gardena Police Department reported that the collision occurred about 3:30 a.m., involving the vehicles. The responding officers found a man in one of the vehicles from the Torrance car accident. He was transported to an area hospital, where he remains in critical condition. The circumstances leading to the collision are still under investigation.
